My work doesn't mind installing software like Options as I had them install the Logitech Gaming Software for my G9x previously (another strange problem I have with LGS on my work machine is that it doesn't recognise my G19).

That is the reason I will keep coming back to this mouse.Ĭlick to expand.I want to reassign the thumb buttons to certain keys for Excel - and apparently I need Options installed in order for side scroll to work in Excel - which is crazy. it is much quieter though! And dear god to I love the auto switching inertia scroll for long documents. hell the only reason I got the 3 was for the USB C charging to match the MX Keys! Honestly though, I think I prefer the more mechanical feel of the notchy scroll wheel on the older models vs the mag setup in the new one. The MX Master 3S brings everything I loved about the original and the 2S. although I really should just get a KVM for home one of these days. This one is the better choice at home since I'm often working between two machines at the same time, so one touch switching is nice. but really the K750 I've been using for 6 years or so at work and I have had to replace the special rechargeable battery once, otherwise zero maintenance/charging/issues. The MX Keys feels pretty good to type on and I like the backlighting when I'm working in a darker room and need to glance down for something and they way it can switch devices is magic too. On a side note, how do you find the devices? Do you still get that or is it something I had in the drawer from a pervious device?Įdit: I also vaguely remember reading something about issues with USB 3 ports? Try a USB 2 port if you have one? Plugging it into a front port solved the issues or using the little extender dongle which moves the dongle further away from the backplate. I did have an issue on my desktop (that I didn't have on the work laptop) where the receiver was patchy when plugged directly into a rear port. Out of interest, what do you want to assign to the buttons? On my work computer I can't install anything so I'm stuck with whatever they do out of the box (OG MX Master and K750) and I had to use another computer to bind both devices to the one receiver. My main bugbear is GHub for the gaming devices vs Options for the productivity ones, shame that neither is capable of doing its thing for both types of devices and I need to have both installed. I've also got the MX Master OG, MX Master 2S and a K750 which use the unifying receiver and haven't had issues with any of them (or any of the older devices before them).

I've just switched them on and am using them to post this response, both working flawlessly (as they always have) over either the unifying receiver or Bluetooth (I've switch midway through typing this to be sure). I've got both the MX Keys and MX Master 3, although I've shifted to using a G815 and G502 Hero for the last month because I'm on leave and.
